Eye Bolts Product Range

An eye bolt is a threaded fastener with a looped head that provides a fixed attachment point for lifting, anchoring or rigging. Choosing the correct one depends on how the load is applied, the thread it must engage and the environment it will work in.

Shoulder or non-shoulder?

A shoulder (collar) eye bolt seats a flat collar against the mating surface, which helps it resist loads applied at an angle when it is fully seated and correctly oriented. A non-shoulder eye bolt is generally meant for straight, in-line pulls only. If the lift will not be vertical, consider a shoulder pattern or a swivel lifting eye bolt instead.

Choosing between the eye bolts in our range

• Eye bolt – the general-purpose pattern for fixed attachment points.
• Lifting eye bolt & eye nut – an eye nut fits onto an existing stud or bolt when a threaded hole is not available.
• Gland eye bolt – used where the eye connects to a pin or clevis in a gland or hinged assembly.
• S.S eye bolts – stainless steel for wet, marine and washdown environments.
• M.S galvanized eye bolt and the gold-colour variant – mild steel with a protective zinc finish for general indoor and sheltered outdoor use.
• PTP coating eye bolt – mild steel with a coated finish where appearance and basic corrosion protection matter.

Selection checklist

1. Thread size, pitch and length that match the tapped hole or nut.
2. Direction of pull: vertical only, or angled.
3. Material: stainless steel for corrosion, mild steel for general duty.
4. Finish: self-colour, galvanized, coated or SS natural.
5. Required load rating and documents, confirmed for the exact size before use.

Always confirm the rated capacity of the specific size from the supplier's documentation and follow the lifting plan for your site. Never use an eye bolt beyond its marked or documented working load.
